Finally canceled my Q and picked up the 23mm. Preordered on June 11 with no delivery date, sigh. Anyway, played with the 23mm and wanted to see its minimum working distance.

With the close up lens fitted. Half the working distance, about 6 inches.  :)

And inspired by the recent threads, I just had to have a shot or two with my T. It (along with the X-Vario, and X1) are stashed ready to travel to Europe in a little over 24 hours.

These two cheeky rascals are outside our kitchen window, they were perfect models.

Manual focus with an aged 35mm Summicron M? Nope, not at all simple, but fun just the same.

My T has been functional for couple of days only. I intend to use it with my Nikon legacy lenses, and I have been waiting for several weeks to receive my lens adapter. Focusing and shooting is actually easier than I thought. For the first 2 days, I couldn't figure out how to use the magnifying function; but even though, thanks to the excellent and bright viewfinder, the focusing was not a big deal. Now that I know how to use the magnifying, it became even easier!

I am very pleased with the sharpness I can get so far with my "T" and I hope to get even better with time! ;)

For this shot, I used a Nikkor 28mm, f/3.5

Great to see this. Been thinking about doing the same as I have some old Nikon lenses. Will the adapter work on Nikon lenses with aperture setting and without?

Yes, it does! There is a ring (blue) on the adapter with which you can open or close. But you will get used with experience how much to open or close. I have been using all my AI (F) lenses very happily; and today, I tried my 17-55 zoom that is G! No problem, but of course, you don't have as much control as with F; but you can still use it perfectly!

Excellent stuff, you have already managed to get great colour and rendering from your T. What is the aperture you used on the zoom, the oof areas look great.

Thank you very much, Kostas.

The aperture on the zoom is a catch! My zoom is a G (AF) and doesn't have the aperture ring! On the adapter's blue ring, there is a wide open and a close option and the distance between the 2 is very short! ... I am putting it in the middle till I lean how to use it correctly! ;)

That is a pretty big lens. Balance ok?

Comparing to the camera, this lens is huge!... I didn't mind much about the balance. I was holding the lens with my left hand and operating the camera with my right hand. The only problem was when I was walking around. I had to carry the heavy combination, holding by the lens. I didn't want the weight of the zoom damaging the camera mount; and also, I don't trust this system's strap lug to be strong enough for that weight!

Both with Summicron 35/2 pre ASPH wide open. No post-processing, just conversion dng > jpg. Quite happy about dynamic range and exposure out of the camera.
