Very beautiful shots. But I noticed that in all your shots, it seems to be the same bird. So, I was wondering if this is a tamed bird, trained to pose for you without moving!   ;)

If so, nice job, too! ;)

With the exception of a particular Brown-Throated Sunbird, which I posted on two different occasions, all the other birds are different from each other.  These sunbirds are nectar-eating birds who appear to find the park's foliage to their liking, but they are totally free.  I do not shoot zoo birds, feeder birds, nor any bird held captive or otherwise enticed to "pose."

The "pose" to which you refer is generally less than a second, as these critters seldom sit still when sourcing nectar.  Their confiding nature makes them attractive subjects, and they are usually still active when the afternoon heat drives other birds to the shade of tree crowns.  Their constant movement is a challenge for focusing manually.

I hope you realized that I was joking with you! :)

Pleasant photo John, only problem is that water doesn't flow downhill :-)

Interesting observation, John. I played with the ritation tool in LR. As you can see, the horizon is obscured by the near and dustant headlands. I tried the clouds for reference, but cloudbase was not well defined. I decided the balance of the photo gave a better end result. I'll have another play with it.

No Offence made John,

I too looked at it to see if the dark areas to the left hid it, so I took a ruler to my screen and yep sure enough sloping by about 5 degrees.

In the old'un days of film i ruined a prize winning shot and learned my lesson the hard way and now if I am unsure sure I take a little spirit level with me.

I love your shot of the two trees and the bench, the old adage of less is more applies and yep the water is level :-)

"They've landed!" ... TL 60/2.8 ... Handheld ... No post-processing ... ISO 800 ... f6.3 ... 1/500 ...

I want to upload larger picture, but have almost maxed out upload allowance... How long do I have to wait? A day?

re next post... Michael, I am pleased with my floral arrangement above, but it pales in comparison with yours.

There is no real daily allowance …you can upload as many images as you wish provided the total in one post do not exceed 500KB

The maximum image size is 1280 x 1280 pixels and with a file size not exceeding 500 KB per Post.

… thus you can submit several consecutive or non-consecutive but separate posts each with one photo of up to 500KB size … or several in the same post not exceeding 500KB in total
