Hello - I just got my TL2. Please find below a few shots using the M Super-Elmar 18mm (Street photography) and the Summilux 50 mm. This is my first T - so I still need some time to adjust to this new camera. Overall I am very pleased with the IQ - which compares well to my M240. That being said, using M lenses without the Visoflex EVF requires times and efforts.

Somewhere in another thread, it was asserted that the TL2's ISO 6400 files are "unusable."

The attached crop was shot at ISO 12500, 1/1250, @300mm, cropped at the pixel level.  At 30X20cm & 300dpi, the entire frame would print nicely with minimal post-processing, hardly what I'd call "unusable."

N.B. I generally don't shoot indoors with a 300mm lens unless it's raining heavily outdoors . . .

Samir, it seems we are hanging around in the same area. If I see someone with a TL2, I know it's you! ;)

My shot was done in different season, hour and light with T, and Angenieux 35-70, if I can recall.

T, visiting museum

Despite whatever has been said against Leica T for years, I still think this is a very good camera with a very decent sensor. I have used it for almost 2 years with lots of pleasure and I am really not yet convinced that an upgrading to TL2 would be necessary.

I took these shots in a very dark museum, and if needed, I could be helped by that little flash, (which was not necessary for these shots) and which doesn’t even exist on the new TL2. I am not a big fan of using flash at all and this little flash is not powerful either, but I must admit, it has been a great help in some situations.

Thank you very much, dear Vikas. But to be honest, I am still wondering if I could follow up my "T"  experience with TLs!.... If Leica comes with another interchangeable, improved, APS-C camera, or a smaller SL; I would certainly be more interested than with what "T" is becoming!... I believe Leica made a mistake with TL2.

A mistake in what sense?

Maybe "mistake" is not the right word; but, what is clear is the disappointment of some T users who wished Leica to come with a new T that would be  at the same level as some other asp-c cameras. For instance, many were  hoping for an integrated EVF, or a camera like a "mini"-SL... That did not happen; and, even the small flash was removed!

Of course, it is a good thing to see the improvement of the sensor, but how many users really care about the "big" internal memory!?

I have been using the excellent T with real pleasure for almost 2 years; but now, I am scratching my and wondering if it is really reasonable to "upgrade" to TL2!

I have not been convinced yet!

I know what you mean about whether or not to upgrade. I had a good excuse - I created an imagined need for my son and daughter-in-law to have a decent camera so I gave them my T. Soon after (really after!) there were the first rumours of the TL2 and it was easy to persuade myself that I needed something to supplement my larger cameras!

All that said, I have to say I think it's a genuine step up, though I agree with your reservations. The tough screen is genuinely more sensitive even with the screen protector though better without the protector. The focus on autofocus lenses seems faster. The SD card write rates are quicker. The image quality/resolution will hopefully also be better but I have not had time to look at in detail in the few hours I've had the camera.

A few more shots with the L - the IQ is outstanding, the RAW files show strong dynamics. However when shooting at ISO 3200 and above, you cannot push shadows too far!

Some snapshots... (M Summilux 50)

A few shots from a late afternoon walk - this time with the M 90 Macro-ELmar and the M 50 mm Apo-Summicron - the LT2 is fantastic at rendering the subtle tonality and amazing micro-details the Apo Summicron is famous for.

First the 90 Macro Elmar:

And now a few with the 50 Apo Cron - full frame and cropped - handheld - it was getting pretty dark.
