Thanks Robert. My knowledge of botanic is very, very, limited. But I tried to browse garden flowers in Google, the closest I could find was called "Butterfly Bush"!...

Here is another shot of this flower:

A very creative landscape/still life, Louis :)

Hope you are doling well.

Thomas

Thanks very much, Thomas. Good to see you around. I am fine and I hope you are doing great in your beautiful California.

Too bad you got rid of your T; it was really shining in your hands. Maybe the new TL will be more tempting to you! ;)

Very best,

Louis

Louis, I thought I'd sell the T, but as a matter of fact, I have kept it. And I used it recently for a couple of shoots, but can't show these. Meanwhile, the X Vario serves me well, it even fits snug in the pocket of my motorcycle jacket (see here)

Expecting a bit of a heatwave here this weekend, we're getting 100+F, but there's a couple of interesting festivals coming up, so you may see some images from me posted either here or on the other site.

Stay well.

Thomas

Leica T, 11-23

I have a suspicion that, after closing, these things leave their box and run around San Francisco stabbing people.

I got my first one (silver) with a NIkon lens adapter and NIkon lens and did not like it much, so I put it back up on EBay and sold it. I kept thinking though that I should try it again, so I bought one with the 11-23 and I love it.

Very nice gallery. I prefer the color ones; I find the sky a little too dark in the B/W shots.

I think the famous pride festival has already been or will happen soon in your corner, and you will have some very "interesting" shots for us as usual. I was told it was last weekend in DC and I wish I knew it in advance for some fun shots; but I missed it again.

It is also very hot over here; around 100, too.

Stay cool, dear friend.

I am using my T mostly with my old Nikkor AI lenses and enjoy it very much! :)

It wasn't that the pix were BAD, but I was getting better results from my Fuji X-Pro1 (with auto-focus), and didn't see the point. Also, I could not use the iPhone App with the Nikon adapter (black screen) so that was worthless. I really needed to get a Leica with a Leica lens. It has not been a perfect experience, the Leica lens cap fell apart day one (one of the cap's tabs just fell off into the desert and I had to put it back together, sort of, in the car), the strap does not always want to lock in, and the high ISO noise is not quite as good as I'd like, but in its zone, you could cut diamonds with this lens' sharpness. I've never been happy with the Fuji's out of focus landscape background, but at F8 this 11-23 makes really nice landscapes. The backgrounds aren't "muddy".

I'm considering getting the aux viewfinder, but that will wait till I finish clearing my credit card of the T.
