How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

We visited La Chatre-sur-le-Loir as we were advised that the old Le Mans Drivers used to retire here during practice and drove their race cars to the "Hotel De France" under Police Escort as the vehicles weren't road legal, sure enough Derek Bell one of the famous drivers of the era still stays during the races here and arrived in his mid 20's Bentley from England.

 

S spotted this lovely farm house shrouded under the 35 degree heat by the leaves, really quite enchanting.

We chose to grab a drink to quench our thirst in the heat and this cafe reminded me so much of a cafe out of the war time establishments in war torn France: -

On the way back we fell upon this beautiful Chateau that was for sale in Marçon - The gate entrance stated it was La Broix Boisee, it was for sale so I have made a cheeky enquiry as to how much as some of these Chateau's are sold on the cheap as long as you can prove you have the funding to repair them.

In the same village I found this old garage and half expected to see the old doors open and a 2CV or Citroen DS drive out: -
