Couple of nice shots in Liverpool this weekend.

The first was at the Digital Splash event in Liverpool, unfortunately the speaker giving the demo on the flash systems he promoted didn't support Leica, not to worry, whilst everyone was shooting away with flash I managed a rather nice shot with natural light of Heather, converted to B&W 1/250 sec;   f/5.6;   ISO 100 Vario-Elmar T 1:3.5-5.6 / 18-56 ASPH.

I love your museum shots Louis!

I was in Washington DC for a few days earlier in the month but things did not go as we had planned.  Our daughter-in-law had actually obtained passes to see the new museum.  However I had to return to Singapore for work earlier than the planned visit date.  In addition, bad health while we were there prevented us from doing anything much.  A friend who visited the museum spoke glowingly of it but this trip I didn't have the stamina or time to stand in the line for people with no advance passes!

Thanks very much, dear Vikas.

I wasn't in a very good shape myself. ... I had to run an "Iron Man" race in Florida, as I mentioned it to you previously. So, I was training very hard and hurt my back very badly, forcing me to stay home for a while. Then, when I started getting better, I tried to catch up ; and bad luck again! I tore a muscle and my left side is still very sore!... As I already had my plane and hotel reservation, I made the trip to Miami, but of course, I could not run!... it was fantastic; people from all over the world came for this event. There was a "pro" category for the international champions, and an amateur category for people like Yours Truly! ... I was very sad to not participate; but I was happy to see so many beautiful women athletes! ;)

Now I am back home; but still in a bad shape!... Often, I forget I am not 20 anymore!...

Jkulin,

It is a Micro Casa Lever S1CO by Elektra.  Work of art that makes great cappuccinos etc.  I have had it for many years.  All manual operation vs the automatic ones that predominate.  Sort of like the Leica M camera is to the camera world.  It is really more of a meditation than a machine.

Agreed, Louis, that is one beautiful shot!

Exif info from photo: 23mm @ F10

Thanks for the information. One of the issues I have with LUF site is all the time we have to spend to simply find  the EXIF of a shot. In a serious photography site, we should easily find any information about a photo and the exif must be available when we hover over the picture!...

Good Morning,

Thank you very much for the kind words.

Awesome camera & lens (I love that 11-23mm) combined with beautiful light so all I had to do was hold the thing steady.

Great work in this thread - goes to show what an under-rated camera the T is.

Cheers,
