Rob, the definitions and colors are very nice in this shot; but, the Chromatic Aberration is really bad!... You can fix them in Photoshop and even in LR, although I am not as familiar with LR as I am with PS.

I was talking about the first of the set! You posted 2 more shots while I was typing! :)

PS: Sorry, I thought the 2 shots posted by Gary were part of a set by Rob!...

Yes, thank you, Louis.

Just wanted to post with the C.A. to show how the lens performs.

Rob

Rick, you have here some really great shots. I very much like the colors and your composition. But I really think the watermark ruins them. At this size and resolution, no one can use them. Some people think it makes more "professional" to have watermarks, which is not really the case. For some it only makes it more "pretentious"! :)

BTW, welcome to the forum and I am looking forward to see more of your work! :)

well in my case as you pointed out earlier re: the watermarks, i link them from my flickr page..and don't have that much free time to process with and without watermarks for everything.

i understand your point though..watermarks can be distracting...just like frames and borders...what a pity so many artists past+ present  add their signature or names on one corner of their paintings ;)

Louis,

In fact I doubt any one will steal my photos, but I recently learned how Lightroom could easily  resize my photos for this site, it also put my name on them..  so I started doing that for all net posts.  On many sites it separates the amatures from the professionals (depending on the viewers of course).  It is not important either way, and I will try and find a more subtle mark to use in the future,  I need more time on lightroom to find the faint mark that crosses the center of the photo .. which I would prefer.  But I appreciate the comment as it is probably not necessary given the limited resolution of this particular site.

Portrait of my 5 year-old grand-daughter via the Leica T 55-135 lens... Hope you like it as much as I do.

The lens is gentle and sympathetic to the subject. Lovely bokeh.

Interestingly / strangely, she looks older / more mature than 5 years.

I realize that I'm being big-headed about this picture ... Just hope I can be as lucky with other shots.

Mucky mouth area due to ice-cream leftovers.

Shot taken handheld from about 2 to 3 m. I'll post settings if anybody wants them.
