I am quite smitten with my grandson and the 35mm TL lens.

That wine had some serious age. How was it?

 

 

It was still enjoyable, although the 1935 was past its peak for maybe 20 years. There are many Bordeaux and Bourgogne wines from the 1920s that are still in great shape (when they've been stored correctly) and 1928/1929 are often compared to the 80s vintages. The wines bottled by the Vandermeulen brothers (back then, wine was often sold in complete barrels) are still spot on. Had the opportunity to try a variety of them, but the 1947 Chambertin VDM is a legend!
