Really enjoyed all these photos.  From what I can tell, a lot of shooters liking their T like me!  It shows in the shots. It doesn't matter all the IQ discussions, mega pixels, etc.  If you feel good about a camera, you see a difference.  Just beautiful work, everyone.

Following on from TheHobbit's Blancpain 50 Fathoms here's a couple of pics showing a poor man's version of same i.e. the Precista PRS-50 made by in 2010 by Timefactors UK  (Eddie Platts) as a limited edition hommage to the original and featuring an AS2063 movement (as fitted to the 1975 model ). The PRS-50 is water resistant to 200m. Photo taken with Leica T and 23mm T lens fitted with one Leitz Elpro VIb and one Leitz Macrotar VIb achromatic close-up lenses - each 4.92 diopter thus total 9.84 diopters. Camera on copy stand; subject illuminated via window light using drafting film diffusers and black card gobos. Home made adaptor was used i.e. Series VI to 52mm plus a 52mm to 55mm adaptor.

The Macrotar is probably 45 years young and the Elpro dates from over 30 years ago … old Leitz Elpro close-up lenses are extremely useful and can be bought for just a few ££ from some dealers.

Best wishes

While I never had the opportunity to own the PRS-50, I have had the pleasure of having other pieces from Eddie. I do like Eddie's interpretation of the Fifty Fathoms. I do have the MKII interpretation of the Fifty Fathoms.
