So far the images posted showed a very smooth color rendering than the M10 24mp sensors. It felt like a sensor that's up there with the current 40mp+ sensors but with Leica's own unique color signature. On top of it, compared to 24mp siblings, the colors looked much more life-like.

I'm convinced. I'm saving up for a used R by next year.👍🏻

Where are all of the M10R images?!?!?

I got a good amount of time in with the M10-R  in over the weekend, but haven't had the chance to properly process those shots yet. It seems a bunch of orders went out early this week with the batch that Leica Camera USA had in stock, so I'm sure the images will start rolling in soon.

In the meantime, here's one. M10-R/90mm macro-elmar-m

I received my M10-R yesterday, soandtook a handful of pictures in the late afternoon.

An initial impression, as others have noted, one thing that does really stand out is highlight recovery and how the meter tends to expose to protect highlights.

The first image of sunset was taken without any filters, and in Adobe Raw I was able to pull back the highlights, raise the shadows a bit more and get a result that I don't think would be as easy with the M10 (or my Nikon D850 for that matter).  Typically, I would think of attaching a graduated density filter to deal with this level of contrast.  The second picture, our Golden Kai, appreciating the ocean air.

As someone that enjoys nature and landscape photography, am really pleased thus far.

One more, the lighting was harsh, but the scenery was worth it.  Image detail is outstanding.

16 min (iso 100 @ f2.8) exposure for star trails, the first image is Sooc, twilight started at the end of the exposure and the sky appears unrecoverable.  The second image is post processed in lightroom using exposure, contrast, highlight, white and black slider.  To get the stars to appear using only the exposure slider requires  -2.5.  The test was also designed to see noise (practically none) and the length of star trails in a 16 min exposure.

Stefan Daniel in a recent video says the LENR is not intended to reduce noise but rather artifacts.  There was a distant bright light that appears to reflect from the leaves, center bottom, but one of the bright spots is rectangular at 6 o'clock from the north star, perhaps an artifact.

The R wouldn't be my first choice for star trails only because of LENR but the sensor has great potential for other astro.

Water appears glass like, the sensor appears to make this happen.  50/1.4 Asph, cropped 1:2 and shadows lightened slightly.

Really? Not a critique just that on second image you state highlights reduced, it looks brighter to me with shadows raised.

The opposite, I looked back at my settings and the exposure was reduced 0.75, the second image was much brighter, the sun was higher, camera was on auto exposure.  There are two shadow areas, the shadow on the mountain with fill from other nearby granite and the trees that are backlit at best.

Got you, apologies.  I was thinking you meant second image was edit of sooc shot above.

Share your M10R photos! When I got the M10M, it was snowing for the first couple of days but I went out anyway. Today it was torrential downpours but I went out in the rain. M10R handled the rain with no problem.

Dkmoore, I've seen many of your pictures, and I do like a lot the colors you manage to extract from the M10-R. The color are vivid, yet true.

Do you mind sharing your development method ? Thank in advance 🙂
