helged Posted November 2, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 2, 2020 Perhaps for the few, but I would love to see interval shooting to be combined with exposure bracketing. I also hope that the improved AF seen in Panasonic S5 (compared to Panasonic S1, S1R, S1H) will be incorporated in SL2 (the Panasonic S1-bodies is about to get updated AF according to testers).
Stuart Richardson Posted November 2, 2020 Share #3 Posted November 2, 2020 Really the only thing that actually holds back my workflow at the moment is the infuriating "vibration detected" warning that takes up the whole screen and prevents you from composing with the camera in multi shot mode. I am not sure how this got by beta testers. Clearly it is important to know that vibration affects the multi shot mode, but the warning should be similar to the vibration warning you get at low shutter speeds without stabilization. As it is, it is very difficult to compose on a tripod without switching into another mode and then switching back again, which is frustrating and unnecessary. 3

jaapv Posted November 2, 2020 Share #5 Posted November 2, 2020 What would the use be? The APS-C format comes in if you mount an APS-C lens to compensate for the smaller coverage. There is no other function.
Ktsa5239 Posted November 2, 2020 Share #6 Posted November 2, 2020 I hope they remove the thing that stops u from shooting burst when your battery drops below 50%. I don’t understand the rationale for this at all!

And allow delayed release combined with exposure bracketing. I hope someone in Wetzlar has stuck their hand up to say 'mea culpa', and admitted they screwed up this bit of the menu. There are too many options that are mutually exclusive. 2

It is useful for video...the sensor performs differently in full frame vs APS-C, and going into the menu to switch can be inconvenient. 1

I use crop mode all the time with my SL2 and Sony A7RIV, with full frame lenses. The Sony allows any Function button to be programmed for this, I have one of the two top buttons set this way and the other set for magnification on my Sony. On my SL2, one is magnification and the other to select User and I have several User options set up for crop mode.
Slender Posted November 2, 2020 Share #10 Posted November 2, 2020 Timer compatible with Bracketing and Multishot +1 ! Remove vibration alert on Multishot + 1 Max out the hardware capabilties in video: I am sure the SL2 could manage 4K 120fps or at least to have the wonderful 5K in 4:3 to allow 4.2.2 10 bits All-i. Besides wishing out loud here what is the solution to maked those feedbacks come up to Wetzlar?

Do you use it as some kind of digital zoom?

Some users prefer APS-C for birds-in-flight etc, for quicker/more reliable continuous af. Haven't tested it myself, but it seems reasonable.

Yes, I use it like a digital zoom. With 47 or 61 megapixels I find that I can get by with fewer lenses. I sold all of my zooms! 24mm (36mm) and 50 (75mm) are about all I need most of the time
JeffWright Posted November 3, 2020 Share #17 Posted November 3, 2020 (1) Exposure preview function (depth of field preview, +/- shutter speed preview) (2) linear manual focusing option for L mount lenses (3) delayed release combined with bracketing (4) remove the vibration delay warning for multishot
chris_tribble Posted November 3, 2020 Share #18 Posted November 3, 2020 1. Make it possible to add Exposure Lock to a programmable button OR allow the Joystick to lock Exposure when it's locked 2. If 1. isn't possible, then enable instant re-centering of the focus point through a programmed button

I often use APS-c format with my Sigma 100-400 lens, for birds photography for exemple (crop welcome). I would like to switch easier than explore all the menu. Many cameras have that function (ex Nikon Z7) Edited November 3, 2020 by Capnord
