Popular Post lanetomlane Posted October 26, 2020 Popular Post Share #1 Posted October 26, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) On Saturday night the Imperial War Museum at Duxford arranged a photo-shoot. Unfortunately due to the wind and rain they had to cancel bringing the aircraft out onto the runway, but the staff didi their best to accommodate us. I used the SL, 16-35 and 24-90mm Vario's, plus the SL 50mm Summilux. More images can be found on my website at; https://photographybytomlane.com. (From Photo Library just select Battle of Britain. stuny Posted October 26, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 26, 2020 Delightful well crafted shot, and I enjoyed the other Duxford photos on your site. I'll return there to tour the rest of the site later today.

fotografr Posted October 28, 2020 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2020 It's hard to imagine the shot could have worked out better with the aircraft out on the runway. The dark background of the hangar interior really sets the plane and auto off nicely. The tones are superb and the scene looks very much like it's right out of the early 1940s.

Likewise, I have to say I find your B&W work on your website to be absolutely first rate. Your processing technique is as good as I've seen anywhere. May I ask what processing software you use? It looks a bit like Capture Pro 1.

It must have changed over the years and I must admit that I've thought about trying it again. Best wishes, Tom
ruskkyle Posted October 28, 2020 Share #9 Posted October 28, 2020 Wonderful images of the BoB photo day. I must admit I was tempted after the air show was cancelled, but you've captured it beautifully.
david strachan Posted October 28, 2020 Share #10 Posted October 28, 2020 (edited) Lovely picture Tom. Superb tones and composition. A " wonderfeel" of "yesteryear". One of our helicopter pilots in PNG was a BoB pilot, quite a character, stocky with a handlebar moustache...Mr Bill Dossett. all best...
