I was looking for a method to protect lenses when in a camera case or backpack, and came across Ruggard neoprene pouches. I simply wanted to pass them on as what for me has become a perfect solution. They are available in sizes that are just right for rangefinder lenses, they weigh very little, they can squish when there's nothing in them, and provide great protection from small bumps and scratches. I remove the small Ruggard rubber logo on the top, and write with a white marker on the top to make it easy to identify contents. I like these so much for my needs I wanted to pass the idea along.

I bought a set of 3 from Amazon earlier this year and have found them very useful, similar to above

I looked at them, but was concerned with the gap when folded over. Since the Ruggard had more of a fitted cap, I went with them. Do you both have confidence that the corners of lenses are protected with your pouches? They are certainly attractive.

If you are looking for a lens pouch which also allows carrying the lens on your belt, you may consider this one:

I always wanted to have a small lens pouch for carrying on my belt which is not too bulky but nevertheless provides reasonable protection and with a safe zipper which prevents that the lens might crash to the pavement...

For me, the Lowepro Dashpoint 10 which I recently found by chance is perfect for said purpose. The 10 is large enough for the WATE, the Summarit 90, Summilux 50. For my Voigtländer 21/1.4 I need the Dashpoint 20.

I‘m happy with my two 10 and one 20. They are also well suited to store the lenses in a backpack.

For everyday storage I have made cases from chamois leather intended for polishing cars.
