M10-Monochrom Lightroom says file is unsupported or damaged

Ok, not sure what happened here but a number of the photos (DNG) that I took with my M10 Monochrom yesterday have problems. Lightroom says the files are "unsupported or damaged." Photoshop says the file-format module cannot parse the file.

I'll probably throw out the SD card, but has anybody had this happen to them? I've taken about a thousand photos with this camera and haven't had any issues like this yet. Also, any means of recovering the DNG?

Do the files show up as dng’s when you look at the sd card in a file viewer?

This happens on both my Q2 and M10-P if I forget to format my SD card in camera directly after transferring the DNGs to Lightroom. Usually the first frames after reinserting the SD card and forgetting to format. They show up as DNGs but unreadable.

What you describe is is not the expected behavior, though. At least, it does not happen with my M10-P and Q2, although most of the time, I reformat my card.
I wonder if those who have the issue with unreadable DNGs delete images in the camera or remove SD cards from card readers without ejecting them first?

This happens intermittently with not just my M10 Monochrom, but also with my M-P 240 and my Q2.  Here are the fixes I have tried; the problem still shows up from time to time, though:

Dumped my Lexar SD cards, switched to SanDisk.  
Started using a surge suppressor between the wall outlet and my power cord.
Got an external card reader, thinking maybe the card reader in my laptop had failed or was about to.

After comprehensive reading and research, the most probable cause for this affliction that I can come up with is that the problem lies in my hard drive on my Macbook, which is now six years old. 

This means I need to either replace the MacBook or have a new hard drive installed, which when it’s all said and done will cost about $400 USD for a 1 TB drive, double the Macbook’s current 500 GB drive.  $400 is still significantly less money than replacing the laptop, but may not be the optimal decision.

This is why I make 3 to 6 shots of each image or scene, in hopes that not all of the files will be corrupted.
