Advertisement Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Hi LUF Admin, Take a look here Forum cookie preferences bug? [MERGED]. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
roydonian Posted August 24, 2020 Share #22 Posted August 24, 2020 The "We use cookies to give you the best experience" bug seemed to have taken the weekend off, but it's back this morning...
LocalHero1953 Posted August 24, 2020 Author Share #23 Posted August 24, 2020 (edited) Yes, the bug is back on mobile, but not on desktop. On opening my normal bookmarked LUF page which is a New Content activity stream: - I am shown a Cookie Preferences page. - I click on 'Manage Preferences' and I am immediately redirected to the New Content page i.e. I don't get an option to manage cookies. - The first link I then click, I am immediately redirected back to the Cookie Preferences page. - Rinse and repeat. This makes the mobile site unusable in practical terms. Edited August 24, 2020 by LocalHero1953

Cookies window is popping up each time I click on a thread, and when I click on "manage preference", I am back on the forum menu...and it reoccurs each time I try to open a thread. Now, after having applied AZach's tip (thanks to him), it seems to be OK. Thanks for helping.
Eclectic Man Posted August 28, 2020 Share #30 Posted August 28, 2020 I have just tried the suggested procedure of editing cookie preferences from the option at the bottom of the page. Seems to have worked today.

farnz Posted October 15, 2020 Share #34 Posted October 15, 2020 @LUF Admin Hi Andreas, it's started again on every LUF page I open. Here's a screenshot in case it helps. It makes no difference if I simply click on "Accept All". EDIT: Seems to have sorted itself for the moment. Edited October 16, 2020 by masjah
farnz Posted October 16, 2020 Share #36 Posted October 16, 2020 @LUF Admin It's still the same for me. I've logged out, logged back in, closed and restarted my browser but no change. Pete.
andybarton Posted October 16, 2020 Share #37 Posted October 16, 2020 Had it first thing this morning but no problem now. Google Chrome on MacOS 10.15.
andybarton Posted October 16, 2020 Share #38 Posted October 16, 2020 Just had it trying a first run of Safari 14.0 on MacOS 10.15.7, but it doesn't repeat when opening a second tab (once you have worked out how to do that...)
farnz Posted October 16, 2020 Share #39 Posted October 16, 2020 I get it on both Safari and Firefox on OSX 10.11.6. A second tab makes no difference for me - still the same pop-up. Pete.
LocalHero1953 Posted October 16, 2020 Author Share #40 Posted October 16, 2020 (edited) FWIW I'm not getting it. Edge on Windows 10. I got it a few weeks ago, and bypassed it by opening Cookie Settings (bottom of the page) and setting them directly. I haven't had a problem since. It still shouldn't happen though!
