I think the pose is effective and the closed eyes add a little mystery. I agree with Pete about straightening the building in the background. That would make the image stronger. The second shot doesn't do much for me, mainly because the pose looks too forced. The building in the background, however, looks much better than in the first shot. Or The third shot shows a good pose but I don't think the background does anything to help the image. There's so much going on with flags, people, high columns and the tilt that it takes attention away from your model. The tones in all three are superb and very complimentary for this type of work. In the first image, I tried holding a sheet of paper over the top portion on the image so as to crop just above her elbows. It looked better to my eye. Hi Brent, I do like the cropped-in version but I have to think on whether or not it tells the same story and if I like it as much. What do you think now that you can see it without paper? * I tried to crop closer to the elbow but it cut off part of the model if I keep the original format. Agree regarding the second shot. Was posting it as a toast to Dennis's request for more hands. Appreciate the comments regarding the tones. I've been very happy with the M10M for people photos, even with the 50 APO and all of that resolution. Welcome, dear visitor! She's beautiful, I like the tones of your post processing, depth of field is good and the background isn't distracting. To be honest, I thought I'd "Liked" it the other day. My problem with the original was that the sky in the upper left pulled too much attention from the model. There's still enough of the building showing to let viewers know what it is. The tones really are just superb. 1
