Today rain and even storm. Geneva is not yet out of Covid closures of shops. But some activity is in preparation. Normally the place with the guns is full of tourists and a lot of people posing to take pictures. Today the place was a desert. I could even not find a nice lady to pose with her mask in front of the guns. Sorry. I do not think the place has changed a bit in the past years.

Photoshop is your friend!

I have not thought about this, but now would be the time to shoot interesting places without tourists (or cars).

Ali, thousands thanks. I love the whole set that reminds me of so much memories. I used to shoot very often in this place, but sadly, I don't have any of the photos for moving from country to country, town to town, places to places, Etc, since. Not far from which, there is a kind of ballroom where we had our end of the year school party. In front, there is a long stairway that is holding great souvenir of that night!...

Vieille Ville was my favorite part of town. I had my years of Fine Arts in that neighborhood; and, I liked the little cafes and restaurants, besides many other stuffs.... But during my last visit to Geneve I was very disappointed how Geneva was changed. My neighborhood, Florissant, is not the same; Ecolint, my high school is unrecognizable, and the walk to Saleve doesn't give the same pleasure.... I think I am getting too old.

Thanks again for bringing back the good memories....

Nice to hear your memories of Geneva Louis. We still enjoy the city. I used to apss by Geneva as I was a student in Grenoble , France nearly 50 years ago and I revcall a quiet city. But now we still enjoy it because - as some people say unjustly- one can get so quickly out of it and find oneself in France or Italy !

This is true, Ali. Geneva is almost in the middle of Western Europe. You can go anywhere from there. I used to go shopping in Milano very often. The other side of Mont Blanc Tunnel, there was an auberge with fantastic food. I think it was cold Filipo, or something like that. Even if it does still exist, it can't be the same, I guess.

My family moved from Paris to Geneva for my father work, and for my schooling. First in Florimont catholic school, then to wonderful Ecolint (Ecole Internationale de Geneve). I also finished Les Beaux Arts, then I moved back to Paris!....
