mdemeyer Posted May 23, 2020 Share #3  Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) All the time for architecture.  Example from my evening Covid19 stroll this week.  Shot with a Zeiss Contax 35mm F2.8 shift lens on the M10 with enough rise to keep things square.  I also use the M10 as a back on the Cambo Actus with a variety of lenses.  Welcome, dear visitor! I've just bought one (the Leica PC Super Angulon 28mm), it should arrive this week. I'll post something once it has.
Jon Warwick Posted May 23, 2020 Share #6  Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) How does the PC Super Angulon hold up on high resolution sensors like the M10M or SL2 when shifted upwards? I was wondering if some more modern lenses like the Canon TS-E range might be better for image quality? If Leica ever produced a revised “benchmark quality“ tilt-shift lens (28-50mm) for full frame, I expect I’d be first in the queue to buy one!   Edited May 23, 2020 by Jon Warwick

Not good.
Robert Blanko Posted May 23, 2020 Share #8 Â Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) The only native m mount Shift Lens that I read about so far is the Schneider/Leica 28 super angulon, which is however only a shift lens without tilt option. Reviews were so-so... With adapters, you would be more flexible and could use other lenses. Â Personally, I made some promising experiments with the common Nikon F mount Tamron 15-30/2.8 in combination with a shift adapter mounted on my Nikon Z7. Worked well above say 18mm focal length. Cutting the lens hood even extends the usable focal range. This could in principle also work on a Leica m, however I am not aware of a shift adapter from Nikon to Leica. Of course, you could also use the Canon version of the Tamron, but I am not aware of a respective shift adapter either. Robert Blanko Posted May 23, 2020 Share #9 Â Posted May 23, 2020 The shift adapter btw allowed to manually set the aperture on the Tamron.
