Archer911 Posted February 27, 2020 Share #1  Posted February 27, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been on a waiting list for a while and received my SL2 today from the Leica Store. No manual included, just the quick start guide, an inspection card, an Adobe offer, and a Leica Society pamphlet. Is there supposed to be a full manual? There was no plastic around the literature like there has been with other Leica products I have purchased. Thanks.   Welcome, dear visitor! Here is a link to the Leica website with downloads including the SL2 PDF. https://us.leica-camera.com/Photography/Leica-SL/Leica-SL2/Downloads If you scroll down to the bottom, you can request a printed copy. I requested a printed copy and it took over a month. The PDF download will at least hold you off for now. I like keeping a printed copy in my camera case. I tried scanning the QR code and doing it that way but the form it lead to was hopeless/useless. Same here, I like original hardcopy. Cheers... digitalfx Posted February 27, 2020 Share #5 Â Posted February 27, 2020 Leica hasn't included manuals for a few years now, which is a new trend with most manufactures. Â
Archer911 Posted February 27, 2020 Author Share #6 Â Posted February 27, 2020 Actually I have gotten a manual with every Leica lens and camera I have ever bought. The Leica store told me Leica just started doing this.

It would, if Leica updated the manual when the firmware is updated. But they don't seem to.
dkCambridgeshire Posted February 28, 2020 Share #9  Posted February 28, 2020 I bought a heavy duty stapler enabling binding / stapling my 'home printed' camera manuals to A4 size. But no need to cart manuals around with me once the basics have been learnt - most cameras are fairly intuitive in use nowadays. dunk
Exodies Posted February 28, 2020 Share #10 Â Posted February 28, 2020 You can cart it around with no weight gain. Put it on your phone. Annotate it.
