How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Build: it is a bit sloppy. But it is 'small', i.e. smaller than Summilux. The diaphragm is not nice. But great is that the lens wide open stays strong, in contrast to my Summilux version 2. Here a nice picture exhibit but probably not totally wide open:

S5/Canolux and developed with LR/2010.

Interesting how it renders even nicer on the S5 than on the M240 (progress exists). It gives a hint: this lens is a keeper for the M11 too.

It is great wide open. Matched with the Monochrom the Canolux is great, easy to focus; my wife has  problems with the long throw of the Summilux.

For me the latter is a slower lens too in another sense: to retain sharpness, I stop down 1/2 stop  . . but it outresolves the Canolux, while it funnily is more tender (to avoid the word 'soft').

So when I got the Summilux I first thought to let go of the Canolux (mine has been adjusted) but so often I have sold beautiful lenses I get a headache afterwards.

here on the M240 wide open . . .

The lens is just great.
