and now that summer is ending, and the competing plants have all dried up and blown away, it is time for the SeaSquill to begin its blooming cycle:

Following some "in the field" pictures in Spitsbergen and Greenland with the Panasonic 24-105 on my Leica SL.
With its <1k weight, sturdy build and ( for my hands) right size, it was a pleasure to work with.
It is sharp and the colours are fine. The files have good latitude in the shadows. Recommended, but I may change to the the
Pro 24-70, because that fits better in my range. For macro I prefer the Elmarit R 60mm, but the lens works well

At 92 mm

Beautiful serie of wonderful landscape! I have to visit england next year…

The Peak District is much more photogenic than I imagined .... particularly in August with the heather in flower .... although this year is apparently poor due to drought last summer.  There are a lot of diverse locations and views in a very compact area. I used to go rock climbing there as a student but only recently returned and realised how good it was for photography.

Having been on numerous landscape photography specific trips abroad in the last few years it has made me appreciate what a huge variety of locations we have in the UK and how relatively close they are together. In a whole lifetime I don't think I could get to all the interesting sites that are worth a visit .....

True, but it's "weather permitting" ...
