Hello everyone,

This is my first post to the L-Camera forum. I recently acquired a used M8.2 (I did an M8 for a few months last year) and this shot from today is my favorite so far (in the 4 days I have owned this camera).

Shot wide open with available light with a current generation 50 Summicron. Only PP on this is turning to b&w in Silver FX Pro, adding vignetting and photo border.

Coming from nearly a decade of SLR photography, gosh M photography is such a pure and pristine pleasure. I don't know how to describe the feeling even. I am probably going to own my M8.2 baby for a while. :)

Thanks for looking!

Thanks you all... for all the great shots everyone posted on this forum. The Leica M8, even without all the nice upgrades is truly a great engineered camera. To me, the M8 allows us to spend more time composing, expanding our image placement and personal desires without worrying about adjusting / applying technical data.

Although I own a full line of great Leica lenses, I enjoy shooting my VC 40/1.4 (multi-coated) and VC 28/1.9... both sharp, with nice tonal shading.

For me, every lens produces a different photo look. I just need to see the final photo in my head, then choose the right lens to achieve that result. I also love my Nikon D2xs, but will always be in love with my Leica's (M8 or film).

A few images from the past few days. M8 with the 35/2.5 Summarit-M. Such an astounding lens. These two are with me daily. My first post of images in this forum!

i feel the same way, sometimes i feel guilty for buying the camera and wonder if we have such feelings simply because we spent so much on our equipment! its really weird i refuse to shoot anything but my leica, if i want quick small point and shoot i use my iphone 3gs, everything else gets the M8 now.
