Thanks in advance for the help Nik Efex needs an RGB file not to be contrary but in the expectation that no traditional B&W photo is ever truly pure grayscale, and in order to apply a tone, warm or cool, it has to work in RGB. Traditional silver papers would always be somewhere between warm or cool, and each would be further modified by the developer used. In the days of injet you can now get papers that are neutral, but to accurately replicate a traditional print that is why a tone, warm or cool, is needed.
