I've done a few versions of these garlic scapes, partly due to being cooped up indoors so much. I think this will be the last one because they're getting a bit past their prime.

Just a thought on this. I played around with it in Photoshop because the dead center position of the buoy doesn't appeal to me. When I made it a vertical format with the buoy in the bottom third and off to the right, it became a more interesting image to me.

I hear ya! I chose to center it, in this case, to try to make the whole image more abstract, I was thinking of posting it into Other/Abstract. I thought that by making the whole image more flag-like, more geometrical, it would tend to flatten it out, thus making it more abstract. I do agree that in general it would be a lousy way to compose a picture. A vertical composition could have included the pier that was in the near distance, which would be nice too. I'll try it when I'm back there. Thanks.

Looks like I reached my limit for uploading pictures

There shouldn't be a limit on the number of photos you post. Have you tried again? This is a really great series. Is it a historical site?

Yes, this is a historical site of old farming houses of the last 200 to 500 years in Austria. I love to walk trough old times.

I tried several times to post new pictures, it loads them but you can´t see them. I don´t know what happened.

There is a size limit.  Try closing the browser and starting again.  That should refresh it.

Also, you can reduce the file size after you use the guidelines above by JAAPV, by using a program like JPEGmini Pro, to allow more images.

You can increase the file allowed file size by becoming a Premium Member (at least, it used to be that way)
