Alan Schaller did a nice job, with whatever camera it may have been done. But if this promo has been done with the M246, it sure says something about Leica’s ‘pretentions’ with this new release.

Quick shot at the leica store at iso12500. No NR applied. Just take it as an example of what the camera is capable at high iso.

One thing is for sure, the showcase images are great but seem specifically to show off the capabilities of very stark contrasts (contre-jour with black snow for instance?) where I would not be surprised, the subjects keep 5 stops of details. So we know that (at last?) there is a camera that will try to outresolve the best lenses and only will accept only those.

The images also show what these lenses can do out of the box - my new ones even after a year have this invisible film of finger fat from just small touches on the lens fronts, and with such degraded quality I would never be able to get the most out of this body I'm afraid. 😂 Anyway, the images remind me more of the acuity of the MM1 or MM-9 than the MM-240. Which I think is a great improvement. That is what I really like. The new MM-10 is - OK I admit - a grand camera.
