With the new M10M having a 41 megapixel sensor, this can only mean that a Leica M11 also having a 41 megapixel sensor cannot be too far away.

There will likely be a new 'M10X' this year, maybe February, with extra resolution. The trend is gravitating towards 47MP. You can expect M11 some time in 2021.

M10 Monochrome will look like a standard Leica M10. Black everything. No white writing. ISO Dial still there. 41MP.

I have a feeling we get an announcement Friday. 🙃

You missed the decisive difference: The M10 Monochrome seems to have an ugly screw where the M10 has its beautiful red dot. There is a whole thread in the Rangefinderforum about this scandal (the thread is great fun...).

Hearing rumors that we will get 160 base ISO to 100,000 ISO. That will be quite the range.

But, no IBIS :  (

Yes specs says it is in fact base ISO 160 to 100,000 ISO. Price is notably less than the guesses so far on the forum with a few more nice features as well which will be officially announced on Friday.

What other nice features? I’m not hearing of any others.

And you are correct about the price being lower than expected. Less than M10P surprisingly.

Longer exposure time 16 minutes to 1/4000 sec. vs M10P 2 minutes to 1/4000sec, but spec sheet says 40MP not 41?

Yes, that is correct, 40MP. I hadn't heard about the long exposure.

what is interesting is that this is a newly developed sensor just for the Monochrom. I wonder why the sensor from the Q or SL2 wasn't used? The latter are 47 as opposed to the 40.

Yes the spec sheet says "specifically developed" for the new Monochrom, so what will the new M10R have for a sensor then?

Totally new processor I hear. If price is less than the 8k my Leca store indicated I fell I couldn't be happier.

Is that 8k euro? I expect the camera to be somewhere between $8k-8.7k USD.

47MP sensor from SL2 most likely, updated with M specs.

Hmm, looks like same Maestro ll processor as M10P but don't think so on the price......

This would be my guess as well but I could be wrong on this one. The other stuff I posted I'm sure of.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can get an amazingly good Monochrome for 3000€ and you can find a Noctilux f1 for around 5000€ so if this new Monochrome actually will come in at 8000€ well its probably a really stupid thing to buy given what the combo will give you (assuming you don't have them already). Any thoughts on this reasoning?

My first Leica M was the Monochrome 246 that I liked but did not love. I then got a Monochrome mark 1 that I used and sold (STUPID) and decided to shoot film.

I see your logic there but as much as I love the MM1, it is fiddly compared to the M10 line. I like you was not enamored by the M246.

I am hoping that because this sensor in the MM3 is developed solely for the M10M that it will be what the M246 should have been.
