Well, I have just heard from my friend who owned the M10 for nearly 2 years had this problem just last night.

Unfortunately that he bought the camera from grey market in Hong Kong. So, I am curious how much Leica would charge him for this.

I've used my M240 in a wide range of temperatures with no problems. I'm sure the M10 will be just the same once that pixel is sorted
