May I ask, whether you were using a tripod placed in the same distance, same ISO and same shutter speed? The amount of loss of quality may vary between different M-lenses, but there obviously is a noticeable difference bewteen SL2 and Panasonic's S1R! Both were handheld at minimum focus distance with the focus point in the center of the frame shot at 1/100 100 ISO with ibis on.
