Hi Trickness,

I really enjoyed your pictures. I see you are using SL2 with M optics. I've been thinking the same thing. I have used the Leica M (M-D/M9 ) for many years.

Thankfully my Q3 was broken (there was no sound on the video - it will be replaced) so I had the opportunity to borrow an M11 and an SL2.  While I wait for the exchange.
I only have M optics and some TL optics.

I will get the SL2 tomorrow and I am looking forward to trying M optics on the SL2. Maybe SL is a better choice for my M optics than M. For me.

And maybe an SL optic will creep in over time 🫣

Thank you so much for your kind words Kim. I absolutely love using M glass on my SL2, I shoot the camera entirely manually and using something like the 50 M Lux with the focus tab gives a very old-school experience. I’m sure you’re gonna have fun! Please post some pictures once you get comfortable with the camera.

And the SL APO’s… well, those are something special indeed.

Straight out of camera challenge

SL2, SUPER-VARIO-ELMAR-SL 1:3.5-4.5/16-35 ASPH.  Shot with two off-camera strobes (Godox AD200 Pro/Godox XL Pro II L trigger). Flash A bare bulb, bounced off 32 inch white umbrella. Flash B modified with MagMod MagSphere behind velum scrim, acting as background. White reflector, camera right, to soften shadows. Single image, in 1;1 format, shot in JPG format to comply with theme.

Shot with single off-camera strobe (Godox AD200Pro/Godox ProXP L trigger), bare bul, bouced off 32 inch white umbrella mounted directly overhead on boom. 8 inch mirror placed in front of subject, beneat camera at 60 degrees to illuminate front of subject. dimensions of box 48.8 mm (length) 38.8 mm (width) 28.1 mm (depth)
