How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

First sunset for 2020. This picture is straight out of the SL2. Not a single slider moved in LR, no crop, nothing.. 😎

VE 90-280 @ 90mm, ISO 5000, f:8.0 and 1/160th sec

Brought SL2 and 24/90 with us on a boat over our winter vacay in Mexico. Having only had the camera and lens for a few weeks I'm really happy with the results.

Testing the AF of the Leica SL2 in heavy mist in Hamburg. Works like a charm. Nearly no misfocused frame. 

Made with 24-90 and zone af mode. See more examples in my blog (german only, sorry)

Were you so close, or is it cropped, and if yes, how much ?

Since my first crop trials with SL2 and 90-280 (very convincing in landscape), I hesitate to sell my m4/3 gear (G9, 100-400, 200 + 2x) which I use only for wildlife, but I fear missing some resolution if cropping to over 600 mm eq. (< 8-10 mp).

In an other hand, I would benefit from better low light perf.

Your thought ?
