How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

........and then none of it stuck.  The lake front doesn't look like it usually does this time of year. No waves, no ice, no closing LSD.  Or maybe it's too early to say that.

Nice photo.  Hope it's beautiful and doesn't become problematic!  We've had no snow in DC this year.  Going to be a lot of rain today though - a side effect of the snow further West I suppose.

The last time snow was a big problem was 2011 when the city essentially shut down. I was stuck on a bus for over 8 hours no more than 2 miles from home, but the conditions were too dangerous to try and walk home.

A bit of frost on a car this morning on our walk.  It was a bit chilly at 21F (-6C) but no snow after our initial burst in November/December.

Maybe my imagination but I love what looks like a self portrait of the artist in flap. 
 

Gives me an idea for a project of obscure self portraits.
