I posted this on the Q2 Macro thread, too, but thought I'd post it here.  If that is against the rules, please tell  me and delete this second post.

Tried my Q2 on a large onion flower.  It is about 4" (10cm) across, so stopping down for depth of field was out of the question.  I normally use a rail when taking images to stack with my Nikon and Leica 100APO, but thought I would try the touch focus feature of the Q2.  So, I took 21 shots after touching on the screen to get it to focus at various points on the face of the flower from the edges to the center to try and get enough slices to stack.  Then processed them in LR6 and stacked them in PS CS6 and I was very happy with the results.  I can see I could have chosen a few more spots that would have given me sharper shots of the pistles and stamen projecting up more from the surface towards me, but it will have to wait until next year and a new flower.  I include an almost 1:1 crop view so you can see more of the details.  Be sure to see them larger by clicking a few times on each image.

Nice idea with the sharpness/motion blur, it suggests speed, but the image looks rather flat to me. Maybe if you set the white point and black point and brought in some more contrast?

Thanks for your comment & suggestion. Is what you suggest here in the attached snapshot? Moving the black & white points closer to the center of the histogram?

Exhibition in the Mecanique Generale, Parc des Ateliers, Arles, as part of the Rencontre de la Photographie 2022. The Parc des Ateliers has always provided the biggest exhibition spaces here, and the whole estate has been massively refurbished in the last 5 years, with still more to be done.
