I got up at 5:00 am this morning and drove to Dyke Marsh for sunrise. It was 28 degrees Fahrenheit and no wind. So I dressed warmly and had no issues. I really wanted to experience walking through the woods while it was still somewhat dark, but most importantly, when there was no one else to be seen. It was quite and peaceful. On the way back, the low, yellow sunlight glancing through through the trees was delightful. The song birds were making their wonderful music. I ran into a group of red cardinals along the path.

Clouds just before sunset. These clouds are pristine in the sense that there are no man made artifacts (jet contrails).

Dyke Marsh - a very beautiful area. Looks like high tide. The marina right next to it is really nice for those early/late photos too> I haven't been out to Dyke Marsh since I lost my dog. It's funny how my photo walks have changed. I do miss this area.
