Me too, I was actually hoping for Yankees-Cardinals series, still want revenge for 1964!!!!!  But alas I think Fox gets Nationals/Astros which will probably be a really good baseball series but no juice for the ratings.

This is a wonderful set, Steve.  Did you do much cropping?

None ..... my seats were far away but the 180mm lens plus the 2X APO extender takes it to 360 which is 540 in the cropped sensor of the CL. Shot at 3200 ISO and F4/F5.6 for most of the pictures. Got the CL originally for the cropped sensor because my wife and I were going on a safari, performed great! Not much to hunt for in NYC so the game was my first chance in a long time .... was lots of fun.

I use the CL with the R 80-200 f/4 with the same extender, and like it a lot, but sometimes think I ought to try to swap it for your lens. The zoom has its obvious advantages, but the 180 is a bit lighter and is technically superior at the furthest point, which, after all, is where we really want it to be.

I had the 80-200 and took it with my on safari, but traded it in when i got home, not something i would use at home (size, weight, and I am not a birder), but I did love the shots it gave me. the elmarit 180 i have is a real beater on the outside but it still takes great shots, but as with most R lenses, IMHO, you have to shoot minimum f4 otherwise it is a bit soft all the way around. The M lenses seem better designed to shoot wide open. Anyway, you can probably pick up the 180 for a song.
