Also black is ok .. just to see how it looks like .. thank you

OK i tried the 12585 metal hood when i got the lens (links) but i use mostly the 12526 or 12538 plastic hoods currently. Or the 12518 rubber hood for 40/2 & 40/2.8 lenses when i take a small bag.

Total heretic, but if you can't find a chrome one which suits you, only black, you can always use a chrome spray paint, then fill the markings in black. I've never done this on Leica gear, but have on some Canon LTM gear where black just didn't work (no I'm not a fashionista, but....).😆

Or buy a $5 screw in silver one off e-bay🙂

I was ??? enough to buy one of Thorsten's lens hoods out of interest. They come in a lovely box, with a lovely little soft pouch, and a lovely lens cloth, and a quality step-up ring (not sure what for - I think for different size fillters as they have a filter thread built in). The actual hood is slightly deeper than the e-bay versions, but apart from that I have to say the 'quality' is indistinguishable.
