setuporg Posted June 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks like you need to use the touch screen on the Q2 to switch to video mode. That interferes with my usually EVF-only mode, and the camera is in the full case anyways. I have to switch the EVF-LCD to Auto before video, switch to the video, take it, and return back to EVF after. I also have to open the hanging door on the case and then close it. This is mighty inconvenient. Are there faster ways to switch to video, and failing that, to toggle EVF-only with one button?

It may not be faster, but repeated presses of the back button (in the middle of the "joystick") will take you into video mode in one of the settings. fotografr Posted June 10, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2019 The good news is that you won't be inadvertently switching into video mode when you don't want to. I actually appreciate that it's difficult to switch.

I never understood what "pressing repeatedly" means. How many times? How fast?

Every time you press the button you are selecting the "next" display option. Speed is irrelevant. Press it once a second or once a day -- a press will bring you to the next option in the cycle of three option mentioned in the post above.
setuporg Posted June 12, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted June 12, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yeah that works even though a bit weird. A dedicated button would have been much cleaner.
