Thanks Mark

The last few days became overcast and dull, but the first week we had glorious weather, like in the picture above with the long late afternoon shadows .......reminds me of those 3 days a year in Scotland :):)

If we were to go again we would defiantly go in Autumn rather than spring..............but all in all we had a great time.

Lovely shots. I'm thinking of picking up a Q2 as my main travel camera before my trip to Okinawa and southern Japan in Nov.

It’s an amazing camera......... it’s made for Japan and the Autumn colors in November will be amazing to.

Safe travels

Neil,

What was the Q2 like as your main camera? Any regrets? Hidden upsides? I’m off to Italy (dozens of trips, and I resided there as well) and Armenia (third trip) on business (flying right now) and decided to leave the Fuji 50R, Leica SL, etc. at home and just use the Q2 (and the C-lux for rare telephoto shots). Any advice or special features you discovered on your Q-trip?

Thanks—

Hi Ron

From now on any trip I go on and needs a flight I will take the Q2 as my only camera. I also took my H6D100c with 4 lenses to Japan and I had grief at every part of the journey (Three flights going 2 coming back) because that gear with the pelican case weighed 14 kgs and 7 kgs is max for small asian airlines.

Road trips will be different. In December me and my wife are going to explore Northern Thailand and will pop over to Cambodia as well, for that trip I will take Chamonix 8x10 H6D100c and M10 and Q2. I will be driving my pickup truck so no issues with airports and no issue lugging it.

The Q2 for me is an amazing camera, just make sure you can get close enough to a foreground subject to make a nice composition............enjoy your trip and safe travels

Neil
