Guest Posted May 13, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’m currently in Hokkaido the most northern island in Japan with my beautiful wife my leica Q2 and my Hasselblad H6D100c. We are currently on day 5 of 9 days and up to now we have been blessed with amazing weather for this time of year. We have been to Japan four times now and this trip like the others are mainly with photography in mind. Up to now I have taken quite a few pictures most of which have been taken with the Q2 and very few taken with the H6D. I’ve really enjoyed learning how to use the Q2 especially as it is a focal length that in the past I have not enjoyed using......... with 50mm being my preferred FL. What I have found is as long as you can get close enough to the subject then you can make some really nice compositions. I have been using a Ravepower plus iPad Pro to store and backup my pictures on a daily basis and that seems to work well. My original plan was to also edit on the go with the iPad Pro but to be honest I just get so much better results when I do any PP on a full size computer.......... I believe Photoshop will have a full iPad version later this year so it will be interesting to see if that will be comparable to what I can get on the MAcPro. Below are a few Q2 pictures that I have played with using Snapseed I hope you like them neil

Trev Posted May 13, 2019 Share #6 Posted May 13, 2019 Neil. Wow. What a place. So glad to see you embracing the Q2. i know you’ve had the original Q Before. Is it the extra resolution that’s made you think again, ?

Hi Trev i think you know me already, I like new toys but you are correct my initial thinking was shoot 28mm then crop, but since I’ve had it I really haven’t cropped anything, what I’ve learnt is that if I get close to a foreground subject the rest of the composition falls into place......... wary days but I can say I’m really enjoying this new camera and also enjoying the results. I really have some cracking photos yet to post but I will wait until I get home to make sure I get the most out of them on a proper computer rather than something rushed on my iPad Pro pictures to follow neil

Guest Posted May 15, 2019 Share #18 Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) I managed to shoot this without a tripod by sitting the camera on a rock and going to f16 and a 1 second exposure ...............I need to remember to take my table top tripod with me next time.
