Louis Posted May 1, 2019 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2019 I really don’t mind a homeless picture as long as it is a good photograph as this one. I know that some do not agree with me.
bags27 Posted May 1, 2019 Share #4 Posted May 1, 2019 such a difficult issue. Does the photo exploit or represent the person? To my mind, fotographr definitely stayed well within the bounds of decency and compassion both with a photograph that honors his subject and with a description that shows respect.
gbealnz Posted May 1, 2019 Share #5 Posted May 1, 2019 I like it. Without Brent's introduction text I'd have never known, thinking it was "merely a very nice portrait". It still is. Gary 2
fotografr Posted May 1, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) Thank you. I should have clarified in my post that this man initially didn't know I was photographing him. But after shooting this (originally color), I showed it to him on the LCD and talked a bit with him. He wanted to know what I planned to do with the photo and when I told him I would only post it on a photography forum he said that was fine. I also learned that we'd been drafted just one month apart during the Vietnam War. Edited May 1, 2019 by fotografr
