You should try and recover some of the shadow detail in the people standing around rather than have the people just black blobs

Actually looks better to have the silhouettes left as is versus a bit of detail IMHO that would be distracting. The point of the scene isn’t them as individuals right?

In my opinion the Q "Classic" is a wonderful camera for black and white.

I still think a little detail would be better, but still a nice picture......TJMO

Its art. I kind of like the silhouette and the long shadows. That is a very difficult shot for the camera to deal with. Extreme dynamic range. It seems to do a good job.

Taken this morning in San Francisco’s Mission District. Love the bokeh rendering of the Q!

I put a colour version in the Q photos thread.

My take on a conversion.

From RAW edited in photoshop.

Wish I was more a dress watch guy, none of my sports (Omega, Panerai, Blancpain) watches can pull of this kind of intricate movement. FP Journe watches almost look better from the back than the front :)

I’ll confess the watch belongs to a friend. Not mine. Still, it was very fun to see and photograph. The Q macro mode works so well. I inverted the tube in my tripod so I could get close. It made all the difference.

A little high contrast architecture to balance out the bokeh heavy shots 🤓

I bet not really. I likely have a few decades on you to gain experience and make mistakes of which I have made many. Still, occasionally I get lucky and take a nice photo. 😁

Loving the richness of the clouds the Q captures. Used a 10-stop ND and still only got a 5 second exposure. Yes could see where the 50 iso of the Q2 could come in handy!
