I'm right handed so I would need to factor that in to my decision. Pete 1
Advertisement Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Hi Stealth3kpl, Take a look here Should I buy the Q2 Or Wait For The Q3?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Tailwagger Posted March 9, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2019 What more could you possibly want out of such a camera that would warrant waiting four years for it to appear? At 14 stops, 47MP seems pretty close to a camera for a lifetime.

It's called social inclusion to address social disadvantage. It's happening everywhere. vor 44 Minuten schrieb Stealth3kpl: I'm right handed so I would need to factor that in to my decision. When the left handed Q3 will be introduced, you can always buy a Q2, used. Probably at a premium then. 🤣

Also, if you are not in a rush, might be worth it to you to wait for Q4. My Leica sources confirm that Q3 is not for the ambi-dexterous. Design document says that It leans to the right. My left leg is slightly shorter than my right, so perhaps the Q4 would be the better choice. Pete

Stealth3kpl Posted March 10, 2019 Author Share #14 Posted March 10, 2019 Seriously though, I own the Q and it really is my favourite of all "point and shoot" digitals. It's perfect for me. It's great that Leica have managed to further develop it with a substantial upgrade yet further simplification in its ergonomics. They didn't tinker around the edges. They knocked it out the park with this. Well done Leica! (50mm version please) Pete

For historical context, readers will note I started this thread before the Q2 was widely available. I really can't see how Leica can improve on the Q2, but I said that about the Q. Gobert Posted March 10, 2019 Share #16 Posted March 10, 2019 Modern digital camera’s are becoming interesting after version 9. For analog cameras it’s the opposite.

Can’t keep up with all the new models ... It seems there is an agreement within the German car and camera industries that enables common naming. Now you can both drive a Q2 and take photos with one
Jeff S Posted March 11, 2019 Share #20 Posted March 11, 2019 Likewise, Mercedes didn’t prevent the S or SL (or vice versa for the CL); nor Acura the TL. And BMW wasn’t dissuaded by the Leica Ms. But maybe Audi killed the R. Jeff
