Also, do you think the Q3 will be designed with left handed people in mind?

Yes, definitely. It's called social inclusion to address social disadvantage. It's happening everywhere.

I'm right handed so I would need to factor that in to my decision.

When the left handed Q3 will be introduced, you can always buy a Q2, used. Probably at a premium then. 🤣

I think you should wait for Q3.  Q2 has been released so it is an aging tech and a losing proposition.

Also, if you are not in a rush, might be worth it to you to wait for Q4.

My Leica sources confirm that Q3 is not for the ambi-dexterous.  Design document says that It leans to the right.

What more could you possibly want out of such a camera that would warrant waiting four years for it to appear?

He might be interested in Leica's cryogenics plan.

Seriously though, I own the Q and it really is my favourite of all "point and shoot" digitals. It's perfect for me. It's great that Leica have managed to further develop it with a substantial upgrade yet further simplification in its ergonomics. They didn't tinker around the edges. They knocked it out the park with this. Well done Leica!

(50mm version please)

I'm sure it won't be long before the threads start! For historical context, readers will note I started this thread before the Q2 was widely available. I really can't see how Leica can improve on the Q2, but I said that about the Q.

So - by that logic there isn‘t a Q2 too - because Audi already has one... 🤔😁

Hmmmm. Indeed is has.  Can’t keep up with all the new models ...

It seems there is an agreement within the German car and camera industries that enables common naming. Now you can both drive a Q2 and take photos with one ;)
