Thought that" USB" did mean 5V output.

It used to always be 5V, but the newest standards allow for higher voltages and currents, specifically to provide fast-charging for phones etc.

It would be really nice if Leica would adopt USB-C connectors for data and in-camera charging across all their cameras...

Never happen on an M. They won’t risk battery damage and swelling inside the body.

Ah, but then it would encourage pests like me to ask Leica for the very many things we could do with a USB in the camera.

Oh, I hope Leica produces a product for the hidden port at the bottom of the M10.

Pico, the product for the hidden port you discovered does already exists, as surely as the hidden port exists, but surely not for public use/sale.

Do you suspect we have found a means to an M11 accessory?

I suspect it's something like the plug they use to find why the voice from my car computer stops being gentle:wub: to become  rude with me.

Does your car talk to you? My wife freaked out when she accidentally touched a steering-wheel button and the car 'talked'. There should be a way to disable that. :)

I got the “2019 revised” charger, and used it to charge two batteries, using a 5.2v, 2.4a power adapter.  After 9 hours, I checked and both were “full”.  The camera says both at 85%.  I will be looking for a 9v, 2a power adapter, tomorrow, to test further.

Went to electronic store, tonight.  Bought QC 3.0 adapter, since they had no QC 2.0, and plugged in the charger.  I then paced batteries in, one at a time, and they charged simultaneously.  They are both 100% charged now.  I will have to run them down and check to see if they discharge after recharging.

I had the same problem. NiteCore said that I should take the batteries out of the charger as soon as possible after they are FULL. so far that seems to work.

That's how my Nitecore M10 2018 charger behaves, so I am not sure what the 2019 revisions have changed.  I've used an iPad mini charger and more recently a 3.0 amp 3-outlet usb 5 volt source to drive it.  I remove the battery after charging, sometimes giving a short final charge to get to 100%.  When I leave a battery on overnight, and it has finished hours before I remove it, it is no longer fully charged.

A charger, once finished, is supposed to keep the battery from discharging back through the circuits to which it is still connected. Nitecore claims to be doing that.  This leak-back behavior is not seen or at least is much less severe in the Nitecore chargers that I use for SL and CL batteries.  A store that I checked with claims that they see less than 1% returns on their Nitecore M10 chargers and ship them by the 10s to 100s per month.  I bought mine direct from Nitecore, which makes it harder to return.  I'm waiting to hear evidence that things have changed before I ask for an upgrade.
