Nice pics Alex (good whisky too).

Just see the conditioning of your lens as "fine tuning"..it'll be magic.

All best..

Thanks David!

Yes I'm hopeful that it's a lens that stays with me for a VERY long time.

Celebrated Father's Day with my, new to me, Summilux V2. Just sad i only got to enjoy it a few weeks. I have to send it out for cleaning and to be modified to fit my digital M :(

I can hardly understand why you need to modify the lens, because it already looks amazingly good! Do you remember at what aperture the pictures were taken? It almost look like they were shot wide open, but I guess the lens must have been stopped down to at least f/2 or 2.8 to be this sharp?

Thanks!

I only have to get the rear brass of the lens modified a little because it currently does not work on a digital M camera. I can only focus at minimum distance, and I would like to use the lens at all distances. On film cameras it works perfectly though.

I always try to shoot as wide as possible. I can't remember exactly what I used on these, but worst case the film was allowing me to go at least F2. One or two of these might be wide open.

Pleasantly surprised how nice the colors came out with this 45 year old lens, and some Ektar.
