A nice (and very pretty) example that a 35mm picture on "35mm" film or equivalent sensor - cropped square - is pretty much a perfect replica of a Rollei or Hassy or other 6x6 picture made with a 75/80mm lens.

The equivalent focal length comes out as "78.5mm" - close enough for either.

(Pedants will point out the DoF will be greater with a cropped 35mm shot - although I hesitate to mention that, because any mention of DoF, especially across different formats, will immediately result in 25 pages of debate. Just watch! ;) )

Farm is seriously wet at the moment. Gives me plenty of opportunity to get out with the camera when the sun comes out (briefly).

Love my 35 'cron ASPH. The afternoon was full of quality light and I was happy to shoot around at f/8 after a dark winter season. But equally I just knew that wide open this lens just delivers.

35 mm is my favourite length. Here is an image from Rome 2011, M9 + Summarit 35/2.5.

One of the best (and also one of the rarest) 35mm for Leica, the Nikkor 3.5cm f1.8. Easily beats the summilux pre-asph performance wide open, and almost matches the Summicron 8e at f2, with the benefit of an extra 1/2 stop / swirly bokeh at f1.8.
