luigi bertolotti Posted November 8, 2018 Share #5 Posted November 8, 2018 (edited) It's regular : is the cutout to not disturb too much the view through finder : my 12547 is identical in shape , but the writings around the white dot are also white-painted, and the shape of the two clips is a little different. UliWer Posted November 8, 2018 Share #6 Posted November 8, 2018 You can also use the famous (…because of its price) 12466: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-wiki.en/index.php/12466 Without regards to the price the second problem with this hood will be to find one. Otherwise it‘s perfect.

trisberg Posted November 9, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 9, 2018 The hood for the Summilux 35mm ASPH non-FLE is a perfect fit and much smaller than the original hood - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/89432-REG/Leica_12589_Lens_Hood_for_35mm.html -Thomas
Runkel Posted November 9, 2018 Share #10 Posted November 9, 2018 I like the Contax GG-1 lens hood for this lens (and for the original 28 Summicron and the 35 Summilux ASPH pre-FLE). This hood was made for the Contax G 28mm and 35mm, mostly in champagne, but it’s findable in black. A 55mm lens cap fits the front of the hood.
