I've been all over the map with 50s and just ruling out third party options from Leica my two favorites would easily be the Summilux Asph and the Elmar-M (the later version). After also going through a million lens swaps I ultimately came back to the Summilux Asph as my main and only 50mm lens. I don't regret this choice as it pairs perfectly with the M10 and works equally as well on my film Ms.

Lux and Elmar is the best set of 50 I could imagine.

I’ve been busy for a while hence my quietness.

I’m at Leica Mayfair for a workshop and whenever I go passed the store I need to keep blinkers on to stop me going in ( plus if I bought a Noctilux I wouldn’t have any money )

the Elmar and Lux do make a good team.  If I want really low light I use the Q and the dreaded ( for some people ) Cropping

i might look out for a Voigtländer though

Any digital camera made since 2008 will provide enough ISO for really low light, if no flash is allowed.

But I have seen then my digital will need 6400, yet, on film I could get away with ISO 400 and f2.
