Hi all,

I had the impression that the settings for the different options change over the time. For now, I am unable to set Grid & Horizon ON, even if this functions are set to ON in the menu. What is wrong? I am using the Vario-Elmarit 24-90 in AFs mode.

Thanks in advance

Do you leave your battery in all the time?

Since this is basically a computer with software, it could need rebooting just like a PC or Mac.

Try removing the battery for 5 minutes and see if that fixes it.

I remember reading a reviewer had an issue or two that he corrected via removing the battery for 5 minutes.

Are you step through the different options for the electronic view finder or live view and get the different options other than grid like histogram, camera info, no info because grid is one of those steps.

Hi Thank you all.

The function works again. No changes done on the menus!  It isn't the first time that this happens!! My conclusion is that It should be a disfucntion of the camera hardware. The camera is equipped with motion sensors detecting the exact position to the horizon. This sensors are often a liquid and the mouvment is mesured.

Yesterday during a long walk, the function reworks,....

It would be useful to have the histogram also visible in the grid and horizon setting. Very annoying having to cycle through the options to see both.

I agree completely, having to trade one for the other is time consuming and senseless.
