Life subsequently got in the way  It's my wedding anniversary today and a CL vario kit is sitting here next to me. For keeps!  This does of course mean I should rationalise the X-E1 with lenses (Fuji vario, 2x Zeiss primes), the D-109, and the Digilux2. Yes, a camera-phone will chimp good photos but the limitations of the D2 will help him understand what's what and play with light.
