I have traction engine which was 80% built by a friend of my father's and which I finished off after he died and his widow gave it to me. However, mine is a lot smaller than the one in your photo (which I am guessing is 4" or 4½" to 1 foot scale), at around 40cm long and not powerful enough to pull anyone along.
