Entrants put in on Lake Mendota, paddle a one-mile course, then portage a mile over the Capitol Square to Lake Monona, then paddle a final one-mile course to the finish line. Some people take it seriously, but most are like this couple in the "Sharkzilla" canoe. Welcome, dear visitor!
